What makes Simple Peace Retreats Unique

Our retreats attract people from many countries, many religions, who seek time off from the busy-ness of daily life to enjoy simple peace. Simple peace does not belong to any religion but is at the heart of all religions. Simple peace is found in the silence, nature, and most important in the meditation practice of receiving the gentleness of our own hearts.
We offer our guests the opportunity to let go of the details of life demanding our attention and bring our awareness back to ourselves, our humanness, our hearts. Here we naturally find our own spiritual nature, our joy, our truth.
To begin and end each day we come together, in the morning for one hour and in the evening for one-half hour, for meditation. The program is centered upon a meditation practice of heartfulness which brings us out of our busy thoughts and more into the gentle quiet of our hearts. The meditation practice, the silence and beautiful nature make the retreat a time to nurture ourselves. The meditation practice is not a task to master sitting for long periods of time but an opportunity to simply be and discover the richness in our hearts, our own inner peace.
A time is provided each day for one on one retreat guidance that provide suggestions on how to enrich your retreat. Meditative movement is offered daily for those who wish.
And of equal importance each day is left open, empty, with lots of time for the guests to make their own experience. Many people in normal life have no time for themselves. We enjoy guests having the luxury of free time, just to be and create their own day. This gives time for journaling, contemplation, resting and self nurturing. We have a pool and a massage therapist available as well.
Meanwhile the retreat silence is not a discipline to try to master but an opportunity to enjoy the quiet and cultivate inner peace. The spectacular views remind us of life’s bigger picture beyond the daily necessities. We are in the simple peace of our retreat. Slowly, slowly we begin feeling more of ourselves, our true ground of being. Slowly, slowly the silence and nature are bringing us back to the inner silence of our heart. Here we can rest again. Here we are home, home within ourselves.
Each guest is making their own retreat, enjoying meals they make themselves, walking in nature and feeling the challenges and gifts of coming back to themselves. The retreat invites us to listen and receive our own inner voice, our well of being, our golden essence. God in all forms is present, supporting our retreat because God is love. This is the perfect spiritual vacation.
